Good luck having admins notice this thread. Besides, you can't ask the admins to lock a thread you didn't create. However, they probably should have locked this thread long ago.
The 500 error is server side, so a different device is unlikely to make a difference.
FANDOM is flaky. Has been this way for over a year now. Just try again.
We don't know what "my page" is... you can create/add to your profile page here on CC with this link: https://community.fandom.com/wiki/User:PurpleKoolAidInDaHood678?action=edit
Have your reported them to SOAP or FANDOM staff? If not, complaining here isn't going to do much.
This just shows whatever automated system FANDOM uses to check new wiki names is not very good.
You can report it as well as anyone.
@XIamKingBG Just because users come up similar to my username doesn't mean they have anything to do with me. Please feel free to ask FANDOM staff if they are my alts. Otherwise, claiming they are alts is basically harassment without proof.
Also, I have not asked anyone's age. I'm just saying that underaged users are more worried about age.
So I guess if you're blocked on a closed wiki... does it matter?
^ What alts?
One does not need to insist they are not underage unless they are worried they will be found out.
The wiki I mentioned was largely untouched for like 5 or more years and had only 16 pages, so I was surprised it is still around.
"I'm not underaged" said the user who is probably underaged.
Working as intended.
Why should we care?
Well, they aren't necessarily off topic, but apparently they aren't allowed anyway. Basically CC admins probably think even the potentially on topic polls aren't wanted... like blogs.
Why should normal users be allowed to do this anyway?
Short answer: No.
Well you need to look around more. I will say, a wiki I admin had a WM, but then lost it without any notice, so FANDOM is very arbitrary.
What name are you trying to give it?
Since this misleading info gets repeated: Having a small wiki is not what leads to it closing... generally FANDOM wants to see wiki activity over Discussions, comments, or blogs activity. Small wikis can stay around if they don't have many pages (like less than 20), if they don't have lots of Discussions activity. I know, because I made one that has been around for over 10 years.
My theory is that while Discussions may attract users to a wiki, it probably doesn't generate advertising dollars, so they don't want a wiki with high non-wiki activity that costs them operating expenses and support costs, but does not generate much revenue. However, if the wiki does not have much non-wiki activity, they're fine with leaving it around, because it doesn't cost much to maintain.
