User rights

I assume these changes to what users with IP usernames can do- i.e. search special pages & write/view comments, were made facing challenges in moderating traffic from bots and malicious vandalism, but why not a toggle feature? I actually use my wiki offline to preview items and make minor edits; and nobody, to my knowledge, outside Staff was made aware of these drastic restrictions until they dropped. Yes, they made a change within Discussions, but that's all I've heard- and I believe a toggle is warranted as well, not every wiki has a a large viewerbase, and the engagement from logged-out users is beneficial.

I know this isn't the place to request these changes, I'm simply curious as to what fellow admins think?

Well, I wonder if I can be an admin. Well, the wiki hasn't closed yet... And the admins are gone now, and also users.

If I am be an admin, I can edit pages and fix errors. And also, being nice in this wiki, blocking bad users, etc.

What I mean is let's say a page or file was named Ash, but you want it to be renamed to Misty would a content mod be able to do that?

What is the difference between a Bureaucrat and an Administrator on Fandom wikis?

I was wondering how I would be able to enable "autoconfirm" for my wiki? When we had a wiki representative, he enabled autoconfirm because we tend to get a lot of trolls (varies throughout the year). Though now we've noticed that accounts that have just been created no longer goes through the "autoconfirm" so we assume it must've expired/been removed. Is there a specific Fandom ticket I could ask through to re-enable that?

So I saw that DOORS Wiki has some kind of settings to make moderators able to block anyone without actually needing admin/bureaucrat perms? I want to enable these settings for the wiki that I am working on (name's Roblox Interminable Rooms Wiki), so that wiki can become more secure if all admins are offline during the important times.

Does meet the moderators part only shows most active content mod user or first user promoted to the content mod or smth?

And why it doesnt show thread moderators?

I just noted that on Wikipedia when an edit is reverted, we're not able to access the bad version that was reverted. The logs below were taken from Stardew Valley: Revision history. As you can see, the 2 bad edits made by user Therealjacksonstephen is preceeded by the hour-date text with no links. The (cur | prev) navigators also have no links:

Ive keep seein it on the wikis but i dont know what is it

I want to change my username to something else, but when I try to do it, I get an error: "Username is unavailable".

I checked the username on the site, and it says that his user has not filled out their profile page yet.

Does this mean that he is not registered?

If so, why can't I still change my profile name?

Yesterday, while looking at the user rights log on a wiki, some of the old ones mentioned chatmoderator. Is this the old version of threadmoderator or what?

When I search on Community Central, it redirects me to the user rights page, but I couldn't see any information about chatmoderator on that page.

So this user, Toproomsiscool was a Temporary Admin due to inactivity of another admin. I promoted him for 1 week which is when he had the "Admin" thingy in the top left (As usual for staff) but the next week, after it had expired, the thingy stayed!

Me and other wikians have no idea how this happens
