My wiki has generally tended to use slideshows over galleries in the past as a way to keep the reader engaged and not flood them with images unless they choose to engage with them, however since the UCP migration they have become notably downplayed in comparison to the more basic sliders and galleries.
The knock on effect is that while the slideshows on the site still work at a surface level they have lost a lot of their functionality:there is no way for a reader to zoom in on the picture, find out more details or access the image itself etc -all things that were part and parcel of the old slideshow style.
Are there any plans to bring back these features? My past contact had indicated that this might be something they'd look into in time, but I wanted to see if there was any progress?
Ordinarily I'm not too concerned with site changes as I can roll with the punches and carry on writing, but I'm not sure its necessarily viable to convert them to galleries or sliders and people in my fan-community have complained that they are not as user friendly as they used to be.
