And i cant delete it
And i cant delete it
I have just made a mistake with a poll, as I have put the wrong option on the poll, as that character was in a game already.
How do I delete that poll?
Can someone help me please?
Guys, I don't know how to make poll in new UCP wikis, can you show me how to make poll in new UCP wiki?
I want to enable polls with 6+ opinions and imaged polls with odd number of opinions.
I've tried to use a polldaddy extension on my wiki, but after finish, it has two results on two of my browsers.
The picture on the right is when I use Google Chrome, it shows the whole poll. However, when I use Firefox, the poll and the questions both disappear and it look like the left picture. So if you can help me turn out why, it would be a big help for me. Thank you.
Hello, I have just found that I can not find Edit buttons for my wiki on Mobile device. Can someone help, please?
It's odd to me that the standard wiki polls don't work at all on mobile, given Fandom's push toward mobile and making sure everything is compatible (such as infoboxes). The "Discuss" feature has polls, but they're segregated to the "Discuss" section and don't have visibility in the rest of the wiki. I want this on the sidebar of my front page (https://xwing-miniatures-second-edition.fandom.com/) so visitors will actually see it.
Almost no one uses Discuss -- the talk pages below each article are better (want to talk about Luke Skywalker as a pilot? talk on that page!), and I personally miss the old forum format, which felt better and actually showed up in wiki activity.
I guess I can try embedding one of those 3rd party polls into the wiki, but that feels like a hack to work around a flaw in the site.
Why haven't polls been coverted over to work on mobile? What specifically is holding this back?
I recently adopted a wiki and have made polls for a Role of the Month section. At the end of the month I would like to archive the polls as a reference, but I am unsure of how I would go about that. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks!
Hi, I’m an Administrator on The YouTube Wiki me and another Administrator (EpicNinjaDude37) were wondering how to add a poll to the right side of the wiki. I know it can be added to the main page of the wiki, but me and EpicNinja want to make it so that no matter want page someone goes on the poll will be on the side. I know it can be added because I found a screenshot of the wiki that showed the poll the side.
Here is a screenshot that shows the poll on the right side, the screenshot is about 26 months old so I don’t know if it can still be done or not.
Would someone mind helping me with making it so a different poll can appear at random on the Seraph of the End main page. There are two possible courses that I am aware of.
1) A random order has been applied to make a "Random Cover" image appear from a list of selected ones. The same way images are put in link brackets, could polls be added as well. I don’t see why we can’t have every last poll on one page like Servamp has done then add whatever it is to make the random effect for the main page but wouldn’t know the layout for this. This RandomSelection page might mean more to people familiar with it. There was also something about maths parser functions.
2) The second possibility is to add polls to their own page to take part in a pre set rotation like this example. This should have the date, the month can be changed to one of the 52 weeks. I could make 52 polls though some could overlap, like some repeated on certain weeks. Here it wouldn’t be random per say rather pre planned but it’s still an option. If making a page for each poll is the answer I’ll need to know soon so I can make a different poll for each day, at different times because I'm mentally ill.
Changing randomly each week would be ideal, or two weeks. The cache might be an issue which is why it couldn’t be done for like every day if that were desired. Changing each month might take time since there’s going to be 20+ polls, new ones are planned and there are previous ones that can return into rotation as part of this number. But changing weekly or every two weeks should still be fine for the cache.
Those are two suggestions on how this could be carried out, though presumably there may be other ones, indeed someone may already know of such a method.
The short question is can someone make a system where a different poll appears by itself randomly at a set time?
I tried to adda poll by editing the page by following the given instructions but when i said save it just pasted the code onto the page, did i do something wrong?
Is it possible to add images to polls, and if so, how can you do so? Thank you in advance. :)
Dear BertH (and the rest of Fandom staff),
I personally do not see the purpose of Discussions taking the place of Forums. Much of the things you want to do with Discussions (like reporting posts) could just be added to Forums. Much of the things that Forums does (quotes, the like), Discussion can't.
Let's go a step forwards. On the Town of Salem wiki, I am a Discussion Moderator. This makes me able to highlight threads. I can't do that with Discussions, ironically enough. Things that I am able to do in Discussions (closing threads, editing) I am also able to do in Forums.
And I'm not even entirely convinced that you, as Fandom staff, are entirely for this change. You're all for pushing it, but it doesn't even exist on Community Central!
I understand that my position, as a single and powerless voice, isn't going to be enough to stop a change that is being implemented across many communities. But if I were to suggest anything, I would have Fandom give us wikis the choice between what methods of communication we used.
Thank you for your time,
I wanted to create a poll on the discuss part of http://mysingingmonsters.wikia.com/wiki/My_Singing_Monsters_Wiki, but I don't know how.
