Favicons

And I made a favicon on a website, but the website tells me to do this

 I have absolutely no clue what it means nor how to do it.

I would like help changing my favicon into something else but it would say wrong file type or too large of a size to put.

i have a wiki called fishing food wiki but i can't change the favicon because when i upload it says incorrect mime type image/webp, but it was an ico image and there was no property called mime type in the files and it wouldn't let me upload it until it was a webp image, not an ico one. and when i uploaded it as a webp image it uploaded it as a blank image.

PLEASE HELP!

For ages now, I have wanted a good wordmark and favicon but I am unsuccessful at creating one every time. The dimensions are so restrictive that it says it's too large or wrong file type. Then when I make it smaller, it's bad quality and not worth having.

Does anyone know a great way of getting a good, professional-looking wordmark/favicon? Any tricks of the trade, so to say? Because I am getting fed up and and I really do think it is an area of fandom that needs substantially improving.

So on two wikis that I created, I've loaded a favicon into the theme designer. It accepts it, but the icon is still the default in my bookmarks and tabs. What is the issue?

I have created a png file with a transparent layer and converted to ico in both GIMP and with online converter. The files look transparrent in my picture viewer, but when I upload it to my Fandom page, I get a white square around it. Am I doing something wrong?

I am building Cyborg 009 wiki and would like a Favicon that best represents the subject: the stylized "009"

However, when I try to use it it comes out too big, lopsided, scrunched or not at all. Help please!
