I want to change my username to something else, but when I try to do it, I get an error: "Username is unavailable".
I checked the username on the site, and it says that his user has not filled out their profile page yet.
Does this mean that he is not registered?
If so, why can't I still change my profile name?
Good evening y’all! I’m having an incredibly irritating time with editing my Infoboxes on my MCU Fanon Wiki page.
In the Infoboxes for all of the organizations I have created on my page, It has both a Notable Members section and a Notable Former Members section as well. When I try to edit in the Notable Former Members section it doesn’t appear no matter what I do or how hard I try despite the section being present along with every other section of the organization Infobox. does anyone know how to fix this? For further clarification, I have my Infoboxes structured very similar to the MCU’s Fandom Pages.
Heres the Avengers page on my Site: https://captainamericalegendreborn.fandom.com/wiki/Avengers?so=search
And here’s the Avengers page on the MCU’s site: https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Avengers
You’ll see the difference I’m talking about when you actually look into the Infoboxes!
Does anyone know what or why this issue happened? And how to fix it? This weird issue happens every time I edit one of the pages, and I mean extremely minor edits as well. If necessary, the links to the wiki are provided in the image. And for future references, I need the steps so I can complete the fix myself!
Quick and simple question regarding State/Country Flags and Seals? When adding them to a Location Page, how exactly do you make them smaller in the Infobox?
Heres a picture of the Flag and Seal from my MCU Fanon version of New York City:
Here’s a picture of how the Flag and Seal look in the MCU’s New York City page (How I want mines and other State and Country pages to look like):
What is the exact process of shrinking it? Once I’ve got the steps I’ll do it myself, Please and Thanks!
Who knows how to add flagicons to an Infobox? And how to upload them properly/manually to my own Marvel Fanon Site for my Citizenship section in my characters Infoboxes:
https://captainamericalegendreborn.fandom.com/f
I want to eventually use some, possibly even all of the Flags seen here on the MCU’s Fandom Page:
https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Citizenship.
How would I obtain all of the flagicons from the MCU’s fandom and upload them to my own fandom page for my Citizenships section of the InfoBox?
Then how would I actually type it out in the Infobox? Hope I’m clear enough!
Does anyone know how to add 2 or more images to an Infobox? I would like to add these two pictures of Iron Man/Tony Stark to his character article/info box, preferably with the year listed atop the image as well for my https://captainamericalegendreborn.fandom.com/f fandom page.
Example articles of how the character images i want should look similar to Batman’s page from the Arkham Video Game Series and Johnny Lawrence’s page from Karate Kid/Cobra Kai.
Every time I make edits to my Fanon Marvel articles on my Fanon Wiki, some of my edits won’t save at all.
The changes/issues in particular:
I edited the Organization Infobox because I wanted to delete the words ‘Section Header’ from the second half of the Infobox, a quick and easy thing I’ve done a hundred times before, as it would make that change to all articles with the Organization Infobox. Now onto the issues I’m having.
For the Organization Infobox, when I was creating an organization article for the Schutzstaffel, the World War II Paramilitary Organization that served under Hitler, the Name does not appear at all at the top of the Infobox like it would with all Fandom Infoboxes. The name of the Article/Infobox and an entire row does not appear at all for any of my organizations despite appearing when I’m in editing mode on desktop and I wanna know just what in the world is going on? Is it an issue on my end? Fandom’s end, IDK.
So I am trying to make a article template with values that I can edit within the page I deployed it in.
I may be over thinking this because it is not working...
Any ideas??
I'm trying to change my PFP But however it is not changing at all.
Can someone help me to fix this?
I'm trying to make a wiki page for the first time, but when I try and search it using the search function It does not show up.
I'm searching the full name of the wiki "CaseOh's Basics The Official" and that does not work too.
I've tried looking online for a fix but couldn't find one. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
This is my Wiki.
I'm trying to upload my pfp as an image to this wiki using the Special:Upload page, but whenever I do, I keep getting the following error:
This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do. A brief description of the abuse rule which your action matched is: Prevent new users from uploading files
I'm assuming this is so we don't get random spambots uploading files, but I've had this account since February last year and I'm already autoconfirmed here. Could someone help me with this? Thanks.
I was wondering what the recommended upper limit for the size of an article should be. I recently took over admin work for a wiki and one of the pages there is currently sitting at 205,492 bytes... and it's extremely hard to open without freezing. So I want to know how many subpages I should break this down into to make sure it loads properly. Would making two pages of 100 KB be fine, or should I go with three pages of 70, etc?
This is a list-based article so I will eventually be splitting it into far more than just the main list when I have the time, so this is just a temporary fix for a bloated article so I want to know what I should aim for.
I want to know if I can make a wiki private after I created it.
I have run into a bit of a strange situation and I'm not quite sure how to proceed.
I am an admin on the Cardcaptor Sakura Wiki.
A user has been contributing to the wiki in both helpful and hindering ways. The Cardcaptor Sakura series—CCS for short—has a new arc called "Clear Card Arc". The anime is currently catching up with the manga and the manga is not finished.
The user in question often adds speculative information to pages regarding things in the Clear Card Arc. A rule of the wiki is that contributions not be speculative and that references be added.
This user has been asked several times to add references to their edits as a lot of what they write comes off as speculation. The wiki admins—myself included—have not read or watched the Clear Card Arc and therefore cannot fact-check the edits. Any fact-checking that occurs usually takes a bit long as none of us are familiar with this arc.
This user has been banned/suspended a handful of times, from months to a year. They do not respond to Message Wall messages.
The problem: What they are doing is not malicious but it is cumbersome for the active editors and moderators. They add a lot of info at a time so getting through all the new edits is a challenge. Would you perma-ban this user? Or try to deal with their editing? They are not communicating with staff of the wiki and seemingly ignoring rules and guidelines.
Any input is appreciated.
I've been listening to a lot of boss themes from old to new, popular and obscure, and I wanted to see if there were any official sites that documented Boss themes from games; only to not really find a wiki dedicated to only Boss Themes.
I've seen pages made on some wikis, but one solely focused on them.
If a Wiki could be made about Boss Themes, I’d like to start creating one or maybe someone with more experience with making Wiki sites could create one.
I’m just discovering so many music tracks from games and feel it would be really cool to have one for them, but what do you think?
Jagged Alliance Wiki https://jaggedalliance.fandom.com/wiki/Jagged_Alliance_Wiki covers the popular Jagged Alliance series, starting with the first Jagged Alliance game in the early 1990s to Jagged Alliance 2 and its spin offs and the recently anounced Jagged Alliance 3.
The Wiki was founded in 2008 though its admins and users left years ago. Myself and User @TeeJay87 now administer the Wiki. I know JA1, JA Deadly Games, TeeJay87 JA2 and some other JA games. The Wiki with our editing now stands at 789 pages.
We are looking for users who know the other JA games to help update the Wiki, games namely, JA2 1.13. JA Unfinished Business, JA Wildfire, JA Back in Action. spin offs JA Online, JA Rage! and the new JA 3. Come join and help edit the pages and increase the page count!
Hey. I have been banned for "sockpuppeting" an account on "VS Battle Wiki".
It seems as if the admins think I'm some genius mastermind and have accused me of being a sock puppet. The proof they gave was convincing until you realise that I went into a call with them and with the person who I was a sock puppet of (Vapour). We had a conversation and it was posted to their RvR thread.
They accused me of being friends with vapour because they heard "whispers" in the room which was either from vapour's mum or just background noise . They also accused me of being friends with vapour because it took me a couple seconds to reply. This point is flawed because I was nervous and worried which is why I took a couple seconds to respond.
I really hope this issue can be fixed because one of the fandom staff influenced the staff of battle wiki to ban me even though the fandom staff said they weren't 100 percent sure I was a sock puppet.
I would like to add that DeagonX and ImmortalDread lied about how I spoke to influence a ban on me. I don't know if you can help with this but I thought It would be good to bring up.
How to make a mainpage pretty for my wiki?
