A very popular and active wiki, Sexypedia, has been closed.
It wasn't meant to be related to NSFW or fetishes at all, but it had a seemingly inappropriate name, though. The name of this wiki is supposed to represent "Tumblr Sexyman".
This is what had me wondering: Are wikis with inappropriate names forbidden?
Wikis cannot be private, and this is one of the reasons why NSFW is forbidden (since everyone, including minors, can see wikis).
I know it was a long time ago. But what reason was? Wiki was about the programming language scratch, also Russian wiki was closed. but one wiki has been recreated. What reason?
These wikis have the same topic, but one of the wikis I am talking about isn’t only about Facility of Redemption, which it shares a topic with. It is also about Monster Infection, which the other wiki is not about. I don’t know any other wikis that are about Monster Infection, only the wiki with 2 topics I am talking about. Are wikis with mainly 2 topics, 1 from another wiki, allowed?
I mean, wikis that are about multiple topics, but have a main topic, like Soundeffects Wiki (wiki about SFX), are allowed. But what about this wiki? Would this still count as a duplicate wiki, or is it fine?
If it counts as a duplicate wiki, then should the MI & FOR wiki be merged to this wiki, or vice versa? The wiki with 2 main topics being Monster Infection and Facility of Redemption have more pages, but have less edit activity. The wiki with only 1 main topic being Facility of Redemption had one of it’s pages being recently edited, but had less pages. The FoR wiki also had a discussion post that was posted not so long ago, while the most recent discussion post of MI & FoR wiki, on the other hand, was posted in the previous month, but the same year (16/08/2024). It was not extremely long ago.
I know it is allowed to write about sexually explicit content as long, but not post sexually explicit images, because minors are allowed on this site and wikis & discussions are public, meaning they could see sexually explicit images.
But is it also allowed to write about vore as long as you don't post images of them? Vore is a fetish which is not allowed on Fandom, as said in the Community Creation Policy:
Wikis about sex, fetishes, and other pornographic subjects are not permitted even if described in a non-explicit way
The Fandom TOS also says this:
You understand and acknowledge that by using the Services you may be exposed to content that you may find offensive, indecent or objectionable and that, in this respect, you use the Services at your own risk.
I don't support vore, just curious.
It's said in the Community Creation Policy that wikis primarily/solely used for images are forbidden and will be closed. But is a wiki about artstyles allowed?
What I mean by artstyles is the way of drawing things, not the genre of art.
Let's say I made a wiki called "Cartoon Artstyles Wiki", that is about artstyles from cartoons, not only and primarily used for sharing images, but also for information and trivia about the artstyle, like "This artstyle is used by 100 artists" and "This artstyle first appeared in Steven Universe" (this wiki doesn't exist yet, I am just giving an example).
Also, wikis about non-celebrity people are forbidden, because that leads to harassment, identity theft, impersonation, etc. But is it also okay to make a page about a non-celebrity's artstyle as long as it does not primarily talk about the non-celebrity of the artstyle?
It was stated on the Community Creation Policy that you are not allowed to make wikis/articles about people who aren't celebrities, to prevent cyberbullying, harassment, identity theft, and other TOS-breaking things. That's why personal wikis and wikis about non-celebrity people aren't allowed. So let's say I created a wiki about a youtuber named Mika kit (I didn't create that wiki, just giving an example). Is that allowed? Because "notable" means popular things, suggesting that celebrities are allowed on FANDOM.
There are some wikis like Gemcrust Wiki, KJD Wiki, and MrBeast Wiki, that are about people, but are still open. But personal wikis about the creator are forbidden. Let's say my friend made the SatuPutra796 wiki and it's all about me (My friend didn't make it, it's just an example). Is it allowed as long as the person the wiki is about didn't make it? Because I've saw that these wikis aren't closed yet.
Fanon wikis are allowed, right? But how about duplicate wikis for blocked users?
There's a wiki called SFX Resource Wiki that is same as Soundeffects Wiki, except for those blocked in the Soundeffects wiki.
Duplicate wikis are not allowed and will be closed, according to the Closed Wikis Policy and Community Creation Policy. But I am unsure if this type of wiki is allowed because it serves a useful purpose. It is a duplicate wiki meant for blocked users in the Soundeffects Wiki.
The community creation policy says that:
The goal of Fandom is to support large communities who want to work together, and small groups who want to share their passions with the world.
There are some personal wikis, some are open, some are closed.
I'm assuming that it means that personal wikis are allowed as long as the friends of the creator of the wiki are allowed.
Let's say I created the SatuPutra796 wiki and allow my friends to join it, is it allowed? Because personal wikis that are still open allow friends.
I've stumbled upon this wiki:
https://topicalball.fandom.com/wiki/Ball_Wiki
Which seems to be similar to the Polandball Wiki, which was closed years ago. As far as I know, the Polandball Wiki got closed due to its "racist and stereotypical portrayal of countries", so how did this one survive?
It's closed.
I wonder if I can download the page files and upload them to a new site? Or will I find it in the browser cache? It's gone a week, I wonder how long I've got?
How many minimum pages does it need to have. Or how active do I have to be.
I had a wiki for something old I made called The Waste. Either it had gotten deleted or I don't know the URL. Here's a page on the NFO wiki I just made talking about The Waste.
https://not-far-over.fandom.com/wiki/The_Waste
Maybe that'll help? Plus, I don't think I can get into my old account.
I don't know how much stuff was on it. Maybe around the same amount the NFO wiki did before I started revamping it. Both wikis probably have been untouched for years.
You misunderstood, The StickWorld wiki made by me wasn't a copy.
The original was made on my old account, which had randomly been signed out. On this new account, I tried to remake it. Now that it's closed I yearn it to open again, understand now?
Hi. I'm currently concerned and worried about my two wikis being closed by Fandom due to inactivity for a prolonged time period. I would like some advice from professionals on how I can keep NickDisToonSint Wiki and HanSoto and Psyonics Wiki open and active again.
I have you know that World in the Universe Wiki is also one of my wikis that has been prolonged inactive and would like to keep that one open.
It's just that I made a lot of wikis today and I mostly do things on Blanding Cassatt Encyclopedia, Sintopia Wiki, and Cree Wiki, and a little things on HispaniolaNewGuinea Wiki. I have other editors on Intertropolis & Routeville Wiki, so I don't have to worry about that going down.
Is there a way that I could restore my two wikis that should reserve the right to include these images by Syfyman2XXX of my choosing so that I wouldn't have to worry about uploading some of them to the Loud Booru due to the expendable standards that some higher-ups like Anonymouse are enforcing upon everyone, despite the mermaids seen in this being Loud House OCs? I want to create a booru of my own, even with my Chromebook, but none of the search results I can find are helping, even since it's late 2023 now(at least at the time of posting this). Plus, how else can I look at the images in their own tabs on my Chrome app on my iPhone when it only lets me download to the files app and never to the photos one which the DeviantArt app that I barely often use allows? (Even with some images being non-downloadable, though can still be opened in other tabs on Chrome and its corresponding iPhone app. And I don't want my sta.sh to be clogged with too many files. (I lack core membership, and don't want DeviantArt frequently taking chunks out of my bank account and credit card if I'm a core member but don't have any part-time jobs at the moment.)
I found a wiki with only 1 page and it seems to be extremely inactive, the only page is the main page and nothing else.

I'm desperate, I manage a community of geopolitical simulations made up of more than one hundred people and after an initial closure due to alleged published data (only the city of some players) and being in order, after months when we need to update our wiki we have it 'they closed again for not having specified the topic despite having said so in a complaint message but still insist that we should rather continue to contribute to Fandom by editing a wiki of historical alternative stories, which have absolutely nothing to do with our work.
