How do you get chat
How do you get chat
I'm outraged by FANDOM's decision to discontinue the forums.
The forums are one of the most used discussion thread types on FANDOM! That will incredibly anger not only me, but also all of FANDOM.
We want to turn on chat codes like /kick users or /kill or /ban in our chat. How can we do that? We also want chat features! Thanks!
Our with is AJPW Pet Worth Wiki
Hello,im Olex i need help with something idk how to make a chat can you help me.
So about EmoticonsWindow, I have everything set up on Chat.js and Chat.css on my community, have debugged and purged the site, but is not showing up (I also have many other Special:Chat scripts imported, and none of them also show up). Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Please help, I don't know what's going wrong.
And btw, the community is survivio
aside from Discussions Moderator and Content Moderator and Rollback (part of Content Moderator) are there any other things built into being a sysop which would make it superfluous to hold multiple check-boxes?
I was wondering about "Chat Moderator" since sysops can promote/demote chat mods, would that mean chat mod privileges are built into being a sysop making it pointless for an admin to promote themselves to chat mod? Help:User rights does not mention this but it seems logical.
My TUFF Puppy Wiki Chat window loads but stays blank. It wont let me send messages or anything. What's happening? Can someone fix this?
For the past two weeks the chat has been working poorly on several Dutch FANDOMS. I confirm this for the FanFiction wiki, the Warrior Cats fanon wiki and the Rare wezens wiki.
It has happened a few times in the past and most of the time we guess it's due to some maintance work from FANDOM. Usually we don't have any problems after a few days or so.
The problems consists of:
These FANDOMS don't have super busy chats. Ten users at the same time at most. Also the amount of coding greatly differs per FANDOM. I have asked users to change browsers, but that also didn't help.
So does anyone have an idea what causes these crashes?
Thanks in advance! ~ Marieke
Hi! FVCEWikiStaff here! Can anyone tell us how to change our Discord logo theme and the amount of members online, like My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic Wiki did with theirs? Do we use CSS or something?
Is there no longer a chat for the Help Wikia?
does anybody know Deb from guild Ravenhill Wikia?
Hi, I want to know how to add Discord chat to some of my wikis. Can anyone help with any of this?

I have been going to Special:Chat for the past few days and noticed that the way moderators moderate is dangerously secretive. For example, here is a ban today where an admin went to chat, banned the user, then left, without involved in the discussion prior. There was no forewarnings or kicks. They also had the audacity to say not to comment in bans afterward even though they didn't supply a ban reason. When the banned person has a default summary when it's not obvious e.g. sockpuppet, I feel this is inappropriate conduct. This also brings in another point that I'd like to talk about.
Now I'm well aware there is a Community Central cabal for the admins and mods, where sometimes they will deliberate with one another about a user who they are going to ban and the ban length to impose. This is all well and good. However, simply banning them with the summary of "Custom reason" or "Misbehaving in chat" when it's not obvious is simply lazy and unprofessional.
Back when I was an administrator who frequented chat, I actually made an effort to make the ban reasons as transparent and useful to others as possible where I could. I feel some of the current moderation team don't care less about other users knowing why they were banned. Having implicit secrecy between the moderation team isn't the right way to go about things in regards to bans. Not all the moderators do this, but there's a small amount who do, and frankly they need to get their act together. Especially when one mod warns a user and then another immediately bans instead.
This is mainly a rant, feel free to chip in with your own opinions.
Hey My Name is Chase.
I have a question about the global block.
For the sake of the question, let's say I passed a law in Dragon Ball Wiki.
I got a block for half a year, and a day later I got a global block for a 1 week.
Then I'm trying to edit a page in Dragon Ball wiki, it means that the block was made by one of the Admins in the fandom and not by the manager of the Dragon Ball wiki.
This week of the global block passes, the block is canceled, I may edit pages in wikis,
But will the block be reset on the wiki from which I was blocked regardless of the global block?
BTW, Everything that happened here is invented and I said this to illustrate the question, I was not blocked from DB WIKI and everything is fine, I did not know which category to put this post on so dont get mad at me if it's not in the right place.
