Wikia is a Bot that I know very little about. I would like some answers for what it/they does, please. :)
If I set up a bot account, are there any scripts to have it auto-detect vandalism using certain keywords, and how would I set up these scripts?
Heading is "ApiErrorException in ApiEdit.CheckForErrors" Every time I try to login I am unable to and this message pops up.
I am using AutoWikiBrowser6001, I already have my site preference set to wikia and my community. The only thing I've found regarding this issue are pages in Phabricator but I don't know what to do with that information.
How can I fix this problem?
I tried to login to non-english fandom wiki, ang got network error.(yeah, it can login before migrating)
As I'm implementing a new article quality review system on my wiki, I was wondering how to automatically add the {{unreviewed}} template to the top of a new article immediately after its creation, automatically.
I already have a dedicated bot account, if that's needed (here).
Help is appreciated! :)
So I'm fixing up categories using the Mass Categorization tool in Company Polandball Wiki to cleanup the wiki's categories. However, since those edits are automatic, I need a bot to do those edits. Do I make another account and flag it as a bot (only used for mass categorizations)? Or how else do I do it?
I have a bot, named PhilippBot774. How can my bot get bot rights here on Community Central?
To all the bot users:
Sometimes I notice automated user bots (not Wikia bot) patrol the chat and the site almost 24/7, are they usually hosted in some online cloud service, or just some computer that stayed on indefinitely?
Hi, are there any bots available that I could use for the above, and how exactly would I go about using it?
At the moment, I am specifically looking to delete all pages created by this anon[1], and potentially others that have been plaguing the Metal Gear Wiki in recent months.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.
Hello,
Over at the Steven Universe Wiki (steven-universe.wikia.com), there is a bot named GarnetBot controlled by me (Superluigi6, who is a bureaucrat there as well). I log into him and sit in the chat for him to log the chat. However, it turns out that he has not been logging chat. He used to log chat when logged into him in the chat (until February 9, 2015 as seen here ) but now he doesn't despite logging into him and going into our chatroom and waiting and waiting as it logs chat (which again, now it doesn't do it).
How can I fix it? Thanks! Contacting Wikia links me to here.

Hi, I've been using journal citation templates (namely: template:cite_journal) on my Wiki and sometimes when a citation appears on several pages I create a new template page called "cite pmid/PMID" where "PMID" is the PubMed identifier for the article (e.g., 23568178 for http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23568178). Now I'd like to know if it's possible to set up a bot to automatically fill out these template pages using metadata from PubMed.
I'm looking to obtain a bot script or a javascript (but it needs only be useable by an admin) that can be used on the Pokémon wiki, that would allow me, (the only admin with a bot currently on the wiki) to add sprites to the emoticon page.
The first catch is, the sprites are numbered: example: 001.png through 999.png
The problem is, is that nearly 100+ pictures need to be added to the MediaWiki page.
The second catch is, is that at the pokémon wiki, we don't just use (661) to pull up a pokémon sprite, we use the name of the pokémon, so the script needs to be able to list the correct name to go with the sprite file.
Anyone up to the task?
