Hey everyone,
I’m hoping someone here can give me some clarity or advice.
Earlier today, I created a new wiki dedicated specifically to wrestling video games not wrestling as a whole, just the games, rosters, features, etc. The goal was to make a space just for fans of wrestling games to gather, discuss, and document titles like the 2K series and other classic titles. Not long after, the wiki was redirected to the broader “Pro Wrestling” wiki, and I received messages from one of their admins telling me I was creating a “duplicate.” Then, without any warning, I found myself globally blocked from Fandom entirely. I understand Fandom doesn’t allow direct duplicates, but my project had a narrower, more specific focus. It wasn’t trying to replace an existing wiki just build something for a niche that wasn’t being served in depth. I wasn’t given a chance to explain or revise, and the block feels extremely heavy handed, and I wasn't told the reason I was blocked either. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there any way to appeal a global block like this fairly, especially if you feel it was triggered by a power user defending their turf?
Thank you to whoever took their time to read and respond to this, wishing the best
