If a bureaucrat of a wiki that had become very active didn’t appoint any other staff members, didn’t work on the wiki themselves, and only edited or interacted with the wiki once per week or fortnight — what would happen? The wiki cannot be adopted since the bureaucrat is never completely inactive for a period of 60 days. But the bureaucrat also doesn’t appoint users as moderators and such. Yet the wiki is constantly growing due to a fairly active community. But pages can’t be deleted, files can’t be deleted, discussions can’t be moderated etc.

Will the community members just have to keep trying to look after things by themselves and contact Fandom for major vandalisms etc.?
