But anyways, after messing around a bit with the code in that post and using black magic to find the original wiki with the code (starting from line 47) that makes the Ducktrix4 code, it looks like all you really need is this bit.

Just change the bit in parentheses to whatever you'd like it to read.

My bad, I forgot to specify. If you want it so that it's global and everyone sees it on the wiki, you'll have to put it in your wiki's Mediawiki:common.css, which is only editable by admins and above.

Also, that code I gave only applies to your username specifically. If you want it for another user, you'll have to change the username in the href$="" bit of the code, but keep it in the double quotations

I couldn't do it for you if I wanted to since I'm not a sysop on whatever wiki that is (and you shouldn't be giving sysop to strangers). This line

Needs to be on a separate line, and the ending curly bracket needs to also be on a different line. Look at the way I formatted the code in my previous reply and copy that. Formatting's important.

Small side note, but don't heart your own comments/replies. No reason to do so.

Sorry @BronzeRattle but for once you're completely wrong here. ;)

That kind of formatting is solely to make the code better structured and human readable. Nothing of this is required for it to work.

In fact, CSS gets minified by the MediaWiki software (i.e. all line breaks, unneeded spaces, and comments removed) before served to the browser to reduce the size and make transmission more effective.

@ OP:

The code works fine. That is, on message walls and article comments. It das NOT work in discussions, since any customizations do generally not work for discussion, which is a Fandom only thing separated from the wiki part.

If your code does not work on comments and walls, please post a link to your CSS page.

Also, as said in the other thread, always keep things in one place please.
