A small confusion?

Hello, i am new at being an administrator on the 'Feather Family NPC Wiki', and i seen something called 'mark this page as patrolled'. Can someone explain what it means?

Marking it as patrolled means you (or a cmod) have seen the edit and deemed it okay. See: Help:Recent changes patrol for more info.
