Is it against the rules to not unblock someone who apologized for doing something wrong?

I apologized to a bureaucrat of Soundeffects Wiki who blocked me there. I was indefinitely blocked on there because I was complaining that he blocked someone who said the "like a baby" phrase (I wasn't actually intending to bother him, I was just wondering why it's forbidden to say that phrase on there).

He stated you can get blocked from the wiki if you lately message him about a problem he made. I was talking about a block of someone who said "like a baby" phrase and provided an image of it, as an example.

Even though I apologized because I unintentionally bothered him, he still didn't unblock me. Would this fall under false accusation?

(I am not actually intending to harass. I am just wondering if this falls under false accusation.)

Generally, nobody should be blocked for asking a question. Also, he first blocked you for 1 day, and then changed it to infinite?

Also, it took me a while to find any rules on this wiki. Who would expect them being literally the sole content of the mainpage? You cannot find them in any menu or with the page search, and honestly, the mainpage is the least location I would expect them.

I didn't find anything about not being allowed to say "like a baby" in them neither.

So what exactly are you blocked for? Or the other user, for that matter? Where does it state that these are blockable actions? I honestly also don't understand the given block reason. "Being entitled towards me about blocking a user who said "like a baby" in the descriptions" - what does that even mean?

On the other hand, you have been blocked a year ago, why bother now? Also, you seem to talk with him on a regular basis here on CC. Did you even ask to be unblocked?

I agree that no one should be blocked for asking a question (the message that was deleted was actually meant to be asking for a reason). And yes, saying "like a baby" on Soundeffects Wiki is forbidden. Bds2714 was the one who was blocked for doing it, and the block log is where you can find the proof. I said "like a baby" in an edit summary, too. But I didn't get blocked for it so I believe it depends on where you are saying it in.

Also, I am not intending to bother. It's just a question. /nm

I will ask/talk to Hp4o2113 about lifting the block soon.

There are two points here:

Does an admin have to lift a valid block after the user apologized? No they don't have to.
Is this block valid in the first place? That's at least arguable. See Wiki_Rules_and_Blocking_Policy. You might be able to force them to lift the block, but it depends on the details.

Bottom line: First talk to the admin in a civil way. If it doesn't help and you genuinely think the admin does injustice to you, send a ticket to Fandom about it.
