Is there supposed to be a spefific prefix for the .css?

You would place the code in one of the following:

• MediaWiki:Common.css - To make it appear for everyone on one wiki (you have to be an admin to do this)

• User:Lotusghoul/global.css - To make it appear on all wikis (only viewable by you)

• User:Lotusghoul/common.css - To make it appear on one wiki (only viewable by you)

Keep in mind "After publishing, you may have to bypass your browser's cache to see the changes."
