I guess they are adding it to every wiki because they seem to really want to push this for some reason. It has even been integrated into the source editor and got its own button:
When it was added for the first time, I deleted it right away, because:
We don't need it, we use our own quote template.
It was using a table for something that should be done with divs.
It was even using deprecated html like valign and width in that table, which is a no-go for me for new templates, even more for "official" ones.
It was using a non-Fandom (although so-called web-safe) font.
It wasn't categorized and no template-type was given.
Its documentation (the examples) created red-links.
Then, it was added again, and this new version is at least using divs instead of a table, and css-classes instead of all the inline css. We still don't need it, but this time I just moved it into the "unused templates" category for now.
However, this time it came without documentation, which I think is a no-go when adding new "default templates". There must at least be a link to its help page.
I guess you'ld have to complain to the project manager, which is User:Antonio R. Castro. I was too lazy to do so. ;)
