I wish we had bots to reply on Discussions (on all wikis, but especially here on Community Central) just like we have on Reddit. I mean, good real bots that sign as bots (and not like those smart-ass users that manually copy-paste AI generated answers on threadsāthose should be banned as soon as spotted)... So that we wouldn't need @Oot42 to drop perfectly fitting replies like this one.
For example, I'm a mod on the Kingdom subreddit, and I've set up the bot to make things easier for me. Like, here the bot replied to a post that hadn't followed the guidelines of the sub, explaining what was wrong, and automatically locking it. Then, when the same user remade their post following the guidelines, the bot replied to it with a hint to other users that could possibly reply to that new post.
The good thing there is that local admins can do all that with a syntax that's as simple as parser functions.
Back in 2021 we had a good bot here on CC that worked alike. What happened to it, specifically? And what happened to that general effort from admins here on CC to fulfill that need? (Maybe you've heard of something that I have not.)
