Hide the "Recent Images" rail from the right side of the page?

Is it possible to hide the "Recent Images" rail from showing up on the right-hand side of the page? This one:

I ask, only because some of the images that get uploaded to the site are not things everybody wants to see. Either because they contain blatant spoilers for different series, or because they are more graphic in content. On the articles that use these types of images we have a SPOILER and CONTENT WARNING notices at the top of the page saying "hey this contains spoilers for X" or "hey this contains violence" scroll away if you don't want to see them.

But there's nothing I can do if they just show up there anyways. The feature doesn't even use images posted in custom namespaces either, only main, so it's not even fully functional. Is there any way to change this? Hopefully, it's not something against the customization policy.

Yes it’s possible, and I don’t think it’s an immediate breach of the Customization policy if you like to hide it in some sort of way. You can try placing this piece of code in either your global or common CSS to get rid of it:

.page__right-rail #WikiaRail .rail-recentImages-module

Okay, I figured it out from comparing other CSS that was already there. The correct code is:

.page__right-rail #WikiaRail .rail-recentImages-module{
    display: none;
}

Just to clarify, it sounds like Koolcyborrgforlife is suggesting that this CSS be added to personal CSS; which is perfectly fine. However, this will hide the module for only yourself and no one else. Each user who wants to hide the module will have to add it to their own personal CSS.

As for hiding it for everyone by using the wiki's CSS, I highly doubt this would be allowed by the customization policy. To summarize the customization policy, you aren't allowed to remove, disable, hide, obscure, or otherwise impair built-in features except by using pre-approved Fandom provided settings such as those on AdminDashboard or ThemeDesigner. Removing rail modules is not something Fandom typically allows.

Also, why has Admin Plus been tagged with this thread? This question has nothing to do with Admin Plus as far as I can tell.

I was asking because we usually only mention the customization policy when talking about site wide modifications. It makes no sense to state that a specific change won't break the customization police if applied on your personal CSS. That would only cause confusion.

What do you think?
