I am the bureaucrat of the Avatar: Macai's Journey wiki. I've noticed new users look at my wiki but, I hardly get any comments, discussions, or feedback. I've been wondering if there are ways to promote my wiki and look for new sources of engagement.
It is even difficult to get over two or three votes from polls. Thanks.
Avatar: Macai's Journey (AMJ for short) itself is a fan spinoff of Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA). This story stars a firebender named Macai. AMJ is of the action/adventure genre and includes several fanon original characters as well as classic ATLA characters.
The tale has been displayed on several platforms including the Avatar: Wiki, Webnovel, Wattpad, AO3, Fanfiction.net, and now Tapas.
The AMJ wiki serves as an important database for lore, content, discussions, and activities regarding the fanon sub-franchise. The Avatar: Macai's Journey Wiki offers updates on new releases, stories, sequels, and prequels in the AMJ timeline. The story even includes a list of fanons that are respected by the AMJ timeline.
Why join?
If you're looking for fresh and new content to be immersed in this is the place to go. Avatar: Macai's Journey was created to give avatar fans free and quality content to enjoy regarding the avatar franchise. It was made fall 2020, during a time where there was a relative drought in avatar lore.
Likewise, the AMJ wiki offers a unique more Fire Nation centered perspective of avatar. On this wiki, you can read articles, get direct feedback from the author, make art, offer criticism that could lead to the development of the series, and discuss avatar lore in general.
What's written so far?
At the moment, the AMJ wiki includes articles about several characters, locations, and conflicts that took place in the story. It also includes numerous discussions and tributes of characters and themes.
Future plans
The AMJ wiki will include more articles and content related to the extensions of AMJ such as Avatar: Lingering Tensions and Avatar: The Vindicated Avenger (which is still being developed). In addition to this, the AMJ wiki will include fan interviews which are in-universe fictional interviews of AMJ characters.
AMJ is looking for volunteers to play as voice actors and for the presentation of character monologues. One such monologue has already been made of Macai. Auditions would be conducted for any interested participants. Voice actors have the option to remain anonymous or have their name credited.
A new feature of the wiki called the Creative Zone is in development and would offer interested users to post fan art and make poems in the discussions board. The creative zone could include fanon short story pages so long as the articles are of respectable quality (few grammatical and spelling errors).
By default, these stories would not be part of AMJ's timeline, but they could be approved if they are of quality. These stories would need to be organized in categories by anyone who posts them.
