I wouldn't. A user must be reliable enough to be an admin, If "Tom" was blocked (for a very good reason, one assumes), giving "him" the roles back could be a potentially foolish thing to do. Moreso if the wiki has enough staff to run without "Tom".

Roles aren't a privilege, they are a responsibility. The key question is whether the wiki needs said person as an admin or not.

I wouldn't say "absolutely not", but it's something for the current admins to discuss. I can imagine a good admin getting mad and leaving in anger, then coming back and saying "Sorry, I got out of proportion, I would like to come back" and the other admins can consider it.

Sure, if he's not responsible enough or the community doesn't want him then he shouldn't be given a role just because he had it in the past.

Nope. You earn the role back. Period. Also no one owns a wiki other than Fandom.

@AzureKesil Thank you for the recommendations. Our wiki is overstaffed as-is, so promoting him again might prove problematic. (Not to mention, this user has been sort of a loose cannon regarding responses to higher-ups.

You can easily earn them back but in this case don't bother trying. Especially if you left cause you had a baby tantrum and are crawling back saying you're sorry.

You're welcome. I brought that point as running understaffed wikis can lead people to offer roles to wild cards or that one user who just edited several times per week.
