Why can't a user post anything in Discussions?
Why can't a user post anything in Discussions?
Im asking because My friend MinuspolaMelatonin (who used to be Grasserina) created the former account when she turned 16, but she says she is unable to post anything in Discussions. Why?"
Its becuase her account needs to be 4 days old until she can post. Its so that the account can be autoconfirmed.
Since she created their account 2 hours ago, her account isn't autoconfirmed. So she needs to wait 94 hours before she can post anything in Discussions.
I forgot to mention that this restrictions is only for a few wikis (such as Adopt Me! Wiki), so she is able to post in Discussions here on Community Central.
Oh. Thanks!
@GotenSakurauchi I always wondered why that was the reason. Is their a way to turn off the 4 day thing on a wiki tho?
Some wikis have that restriction for some reasons (such as heavy vandalism by newly created accounts that comes back right after the local admin is blocking them). It's possible to remove that, but it's up to the local admins if they want to do that or not.
@The Original Petey The Cat! Should we talk to the others about that?
As is mentioned in our guidelines, please make sure that your title is descriptive so that others can understand what you're asking about. Ironically, a title like "help me" or "a question" or "i need help" is actually not really helpful and makes it that bit more difficult to help. Please have a look at our discussions guidelines for more tips and recommendations for asking for help here.
