Hi, Kirkburn. Thanks for the regular updates.
Do you know if anyone is working on the bug that prevents us from receiving email notifications when the "email me when...my user talk page is changed" option is selected in user preferences? It's just shy of a year since I opened a ticket on this. It makes it difficult to remain in contact with people who don't check into the wiki regularly.
I am not aware of there being a current bug around that - only that the wording is a little confusing (because it fails to mention that it also covers message wall).
That said, it looks like you were not currently watching your talk page on the relevant wiki - I've tried toggling that. If it doesn't help, please send in a new support ticket!
Thanks, I've opened up a follow up ticket. It's not so much a problem for me. I regularly check the recent change log. But some of my wiki's staff may not log in for weeks or months, and it was my only way to communicate with them in a timely fashion,
(Also I would assume messages on your own user talk page are supposed to trigger an email notification without the page being in your watchlist).
For anyone who may someday stumble on this issue of missing talk page email notifications in the future: It was determined that my mail service provider was filtering out Talk page notifications as spam before reaching my pc (other Fandom messages seemed to come through ok). I had to log into the online version of my mailbox, find the message in the spam folder, and then mark it as "not spam". Then succeeding messages came across ok.
Thanks, Kirkburn!
