Is there a way to create a duration template that would transfer a time into hours and minutes?
For example, input "1:49:35" to make output "1 hour 50 minutes"
I believe you will need to use the parser function #time.
#time is more about timedate format, I don't think it has a duration format. You will need to parse it as a string. Try this:
{{#explode:{{{1}}}|:}} hour{{plural:{{#explode:{{{1}}}|:}}||s}} {{#explode:{{{1}}}|:|1}} minute{{plural:{{#explode:{{{1}}}|:|1}}||s}}
Edit: Made a little change
{{#time: H "hour(s)" i "minute(s)" s "second(s)" | 1:45:36}}
I believe this works.
Ah true, I got it mixed. The "supported" datetime formats are about the input not the output.
However, the code I suggested has the benefit of using the correct singular/plural form.
What do you think?
