Gotcha, thanks
In case it isn't obvious: Special:MyPage/fandomdesktop.css
Also, I'm pretty sure Special:MyPage/fandommobile.css doesn't work.
It's surprising, I admit, but Special:Mypage/fandommobile.css and Special:Mypage/fandommobile.js do work. There are already a few scripts on dev for mobile, though unfortunately no global code page work for mobile.
That is just bizarre... not sure what the point of personal customization working for mobile is, but at least it proves FANDOM is intentionally preventing wiki-wide mobile customization.
Setting dark mode, for example.
They do. MediaWiki:FandomMobile.css and MediaWiki:FandomMobile.js are protected against being edited by admins, while any other name ending with .css or .js is editable.
Is there not a preference for setting dark mode? I don't get it.
For FandomMobile? No, there isn't.
Does Special:MyPage/common.css also affect FandomMobile? I thought is was just desktop skins; similar to MediaWiki:Common.css.
Regarding personal CSS/JS for FandomMobile, it has been that way for a while. If not right at launch, shortly there after. At least since March when I tried testing it myself.
Edit: And as for the mobile light/dark mode, that can't even be set by wiki admins. It has to be set by Fandom.
For some reason Special:Mypage/common.css affects FandomMobile. The way I discovered it was, that when FandomMobile was introduced my global CSS and JS appeared on it - but only on Community Central. It was very confusing until I realised the ironical reason - at that time, there was a bug that prevented global personal code from being loaded on Community Central even on desktop, and to work around that I imported my own global code via my local code pages. As a result, my code worked on FandomMobile too.
Interesting. I have definitely testing things with Special:MyPage/common.css after FandomMobile but never noticed this. Good to know.
What do you think?
