Recently, I clicked the button saying to opt in to the new design of FANDOM. However, I didn’t expect for the design to be so different. Honestly, I don’t like the new design and I want to switch back. Is it too late for me?

Go to "my preferences", and under "appearance" there's a setting to change it back I believe
Thanks! I really like Oasis and I’m glad I got it back.
Just be aware that all Fandoms will eventually be dropping the Oasis design for FandomDesktop version in the near future.
Based on the number of people wanting to revert alone, I don't get the feeling that the community loves desktop.
If you (and others) could share what exactly they don't like about FandomDesktop compared to Oasis, this could be useful for Fandom.
Bear in mind also that some wikis haven't adapted to the new skin yet, so it could be that the wiki you were looking at doesn't look as intended. Wikis have to import their theme designer settings, and make changes here and there to the customization pages so that things work as before on the pages. (The opt-in helps identify issues to be tackled before the rollout of FD.)
The main thing about FandomDesktop for me is that the wiki pages are far too cramped and half of the screen is taken up by other things.
I have issues with the design in general, but the main thing is the bar on the side. It throws me off and I really dislike it.
I came here after finding that the binding of isaac fandom wiki had this new layout that is.. much worse than the former one.
As an example page: https://bindingofisaacrebirth.fandom.com/wiki/Isaac
My main issue with it is how the main part of each page is very compressed, more narrow horizontally. The bar on the right side of the page's content seems to be the main thing causing this. (page tools / recent wiki activity)
There are options to hide it or to expand the main part of the page (little arrow on the top right of the 'page tools' part to hide, button on the top left of the content part to expand) which fix that mostly, but the wiki doesn't remember those settings so everytime you click a link to another page of the wiki you have to click those two buttons again for the content to be filling the page rather than just a narrow center part.
Agreed with XChyro, and the only reason I came to the forum to see if I was the only one who noticed how bad the changes were.
@XChyro There are options on the preferences to set the theme as you prefer to use it regularly - such as for the expanded content width, and leaving the right rail hidden by default:
If you did this and it didn't work, ping me and I can report it as a bug, because it should be working. (If you didn't try this - you're free to do it if you want, in case it might improve the experience. The idea for FandomDesktop is for each user to be able to tailor it to what they prefer to see.)
What do you think?
