I know the exact same thing was said here: https://community.fandom.com/f/p/3432533341503490147 but I'm just creating a new thread because I don't think it's effective to reply to an old thread.
But you can't. There is a script that says "online" if they made an edit in the last hour, but there is no way to get their actual state.
We can't do the online system like ROBLOX?
Fandom is not an online game, it's a website for reading information. If they wanted, they could track users to some extent, but I don't believe they will share this information with other users.
I think this was already said but they can just make it optional for people to know, just like reddit.
Online games maintain constant network communication between users and the servers... wikis don't do that and we wouldn't want it either.
You're always free to ask FANDOM staff to make that future feature, but asking here is pointless and will have no effect.
Even if Fandom did have this feature, how would you know the user is actually there reading/posting things as opposed to just gone out and left their account logged in?
Okay you've beaten me.
Fandom don't have the option to know who's online or not but for sure every post will be read by the users daily.
^ Uhh.... what?
What do you think?
