You're kind of screwed. Welcome to the new editor.
What browser were you using?
It's usually because the page is so large, or the edit is in a bulk condition, that the editor is now stuck.
Or some random issue with an upstream error in FANDOM's server.
Anyways, just reload the page, unless you cleared your cache while reloading, it would still save your edits
Is this a consistent issue or just occasional? Also, I am not sure why you need to switch to source mode to get a preview. The point of visual mode is that you are supposed to see it more or less as it will appear on the page; essentially a live preview.
i am using google chrome and with visual mode the spacing is weird and i cannot test any buttons
Are you using Chrome on a computer or a mobile device? Do you have any ad blockers installed?
You also took a very long time to follow up.
Maybe they are just busy. Either way, I feel like one of use should point out that the preview mode doesn't always work anyways. There are several things that don't work right in preview mode and the sizing is still different from that of an actual page. Usually, buttons is one of those things that won't work.
So are you still having this issue then?
It isn't even clear anymore what the problem is.. the OP went from source mode to visual mode.
My understanding is that they were using visual mode to edit but wanted to use source mode's preview feature because of the odd spacing that visual mode has. They did that but then the editor got stuck when they tried to switch back to visual mode from source mode in order to continue editing.
Oh so it is just a report about how VE sux... not sure we can do much about that.
What do you think?
