How can I make the "On this day" better on the main page without the lead paragraph present?

That would be kind of hard, as you would need some logic in the template
So someone editing something right? I don't see any sentences at all under "On this day".
I don't even know what's "the lead sentence"-
You will have to state exactly what text you want to appear and where. We cannot read your mind and guessing is very hard.
It looks like they were able to figure it out on their own. Based on their edits, it looks like they wanted some content to appear on the template page but not on the main page.
