Yeah, that help page doesn't really work for Discussions in explaining symbols.

For Discussions there are basically two types of avatar symbols both in the upper left corner:

• Silver/gray star = Discussions Moderator (user right "threadmoderator")

• Gold/yellow star = Admin (user right "sysop")

Pretty sure those are the only ones.

Interesting, I could have sworn that either that help page (or maybe another, maybe that was Help:Chat which has just been deleted) included the different symbols and images to indicate the user groups. In that case, it will just serve as additional information without directly answering the question

Well, you could encourage addition of that info to your FANDOM staff contacts... you are a CC admin which isn't just a regular admin.

Yup, those are the only ones and you'll never see any other.

There is also this symbol for global discussion moderators, and the symbol for helper of course (Tupka above ^)

I also could swear the help page use to have those images.

Edit: Apparently, back in January 2018, there was some re-working to have a "cleaner" display of the icons and somehow they got removed in the process. I assume they were supposed to be replaced with the template but they never were. This is the specific edit where they were removed.

Edit: Actually, it looks like they were kept but for some reason they stopped displaying.
