Colored Infoboxes

Is there any way to make an option in the source edit or for choosing colors for infoboxes?

I was thinking like this:

And this is what I want added to the current code:

As non-admin, you can still add color parameters to the infobox. But the header and the labels will use the same colors. The instrcutions are on the page linked above, but if you want particular help - link the said infobox template.

Alright so you already have there accent-color-source="backround" which is fine (though you may want to fix the typo and make it "background").

For the text color, you will have to add in the same tag accent-text-color-source="color".

The part of

<data>
        <data source="backround">
    <label>Color</label>
    </data>
    </data>

is somewhat messed up but also unnecessary, unless you are intending to display the color code. I suggest just delete it.

After you implement that in the template, on a page, you can just give the colors as values for the "background" and "color" fields. Note that the colors must be hex codes like #FF0000 for red. You can use a color picker like this.

Okay! So when I use the Infobox in a article, will I be able to say what color I want in the visual editor? (Meaning not going into the source code for the template and changing it.)

Yes, just fill in the color codes in the fields named "back(g)round" and "color". In case the fields form doesn't show you those field names, click "Add more information" and add them.
