I was looking around the site and I couldn't find anything that really answered my question, so...

Is it acceptable to create a wiki for an unpublished 'personal' project? I'm wondering because it's really difficult to keep the worldbuilding and character content together in other places, and a wiki seems like a good place to keep it sorted out. I put 'personal' in quotes because it is an unofficial 'spin-off' to an existing fandom and I would be open to collaborations.

I understand that it would be accessible to edit by other users, but that I would also be able restrict editing on certain pages. Would it work if I restricted editing on some pages but left some available to edit? If not, I can always look for a different worldbuilding site that is completely for personal use.
