- Objective: w:c:imotwom is consolidating Egg Pack + Egg pages (n~400) by deleting the current pages and replacing the links on the target pages
- Links:
- Egg Pack pages link to 'Egg pages' (1 link)
- Egg pages link to 'Pet pages' (2 links)
- All other links in "Special:WhatLinksHere" are not needed and can be removed (I have a tool for that)
- Egg Pack, Egg, and Pet pages are individually categorized, but fall under a general template
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="My_Proposal">My Proposal</span></h2>
- Use a tool to identify the link on the target page
- Replace the link
- Remove remaining links via a tool
<p>For example, changing "X Egg Pack" on "X Egg" page

- I want to change the existing [[X Egg Pack]] link to [[Egg Pack|{{PAGENAME}} Pack]]
<p>I have attempted using MassEdit, but it seems to be unable to pick up wikitext (PAGENAME)

<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Rejected_Proposals">Rejected Proposals</span></h2>
- Creating Redirects. We are aiming to reduce page count and having redirects are not in-line with this goal
- Mass-Deleting pages. We don't want to blindly create broken links
