<p>Do you want to place a slider on a 'legacy' wiki or a UCP Wiki? Please link to the wiki page you want a slider on.
</p><p>If your wiki is pre-UCP ('legacy'), then see
Help:Galleries, Slideshows, and Sliders for starters. You can open Classic Editor and select 'Slider' from the Features section in the right sidebar, or add a slider via Wikitext in Source Editor. The Help page shows you how to do it in Classic Editor.
</p><p>If you're on a UCP Wiki, you can add a slider using the same source code as you'd use when adding a slider via wikitext in pre-UCP wikis. For example:
</p>
<gallery type="slider" orientation="bottom">
Image Alpha.png|Title|link|linktext
Image Beta.png|Title|link|linktext
</gallery>
<p>
Edit: I tested adding a slider on my
Sandbox page at Woodhouse's UCP-testing ground wiki; you can check the source code there. For examples of Sliders on pre-UCP Wikis... well, you're a Warriors fan, so check out
this slider on the Warriors Wiki (see source code), or the wikitext for the slider on the
Narnia Wiki home page. Ignore that they use hyperlinks when linking to articles on their own wiki.
