The point I am trying to make is that the script doesn't know what it is counting down to. It only knows the date. Whomever (I assume you) wrote the template told the counter to count to March 20, 2020; so that is what it is doing. The counter doesn't know that Vol 5 was already released (early I guess?). It is like telling someone to meet you at 7:00 PM and then getting made they didn't show up at noon. You can't expect the script to produce the results you want if you don't give it the correct input. Does that make more sense?
Make sense? well kinda... but still, how come the first countdown doesnt work when the second countdown is working? hmmm
But the first one will work out if I remove the second one. I even followed the guide to make Countdown tho
This is the content of the template:
This portion of the template is what controls the date the first countdown is counting to:
<span class="countdowndate">March 20, 2020 </span>
You see how there is "March 20, 2020"? That is what is causing the script to countdown to March 20, 2020. If the volume's release date has changed and you want the countdown to countdown to the new release date, then you have to change this part to provide the countdown with the correct release date.
Uhhh yea I know that's where I change the date countdown but the problem now is dat if I add from this -
To this -
And the result would be like the pic I showed ya above if there's this second countdown under of it -
Ah okay. Apologies for the confusion; I only just realized what you were actually asking about. The script is working as intended, you just need to change the class for one of the countdowns. Try something like this for your template content.
They really should have designed the script better.
Ohh I just need to change the class huh? that thing you've added "-5" and "-3" after .post-countdown is class, right? what does it mean? I mean the number, does it have to be specific type, or I could just add random number on it?
There is nothing specific it needs to be as long as it is different for each countdown. Also, it is the entire string that is the class. The class for the volume 5 countdown, as I have recommended, is "post-countdown-5"; "5" because it is volume 5. Similarly, my recommended class for the colume 3 countdown is "post-countdown-3".
Multiple classes are separated by a space character. For example, "hello-there" is a single class while "hello there" is two classes ("hello" and "there").
After taking a look at the script itself, it seems that you don't actually have to use a class for the toggle feature; that is just how they do it in the example. If you do "next" instead of ".something", the script should display the next HTML element regardless of what it is and without interfering with other countdowns. So an easier alternative to what I suggested earlier would be:
Unlike before, the value of "data-toggle" can be "next" for all countdowns as supposed to needing a unique value for each countdown.
Right, I just remember the things I felt missing.
First, how Promised Neverland fandom made their wiki head glowing whenever you hover over it. I couldn't find the scripts in their CSS tho :\
Another one, how do they change this in Wiki Activity? Mine's looks, classic/old tho lol -
I hope this is the last one, I couldn't figured out how to they put this next to each other tho, idk what's the script in their CSS -
Big appreciate if anyone knows, tq.
Which of the modules are you talking about?
