Here are the release notes for Fandom's code release scheduled for April 25, 2019:

NOTABLE: We're changing the way landing pages work for better navigation. Since the wordmark changes to whatever you have your landing page set to, it made it difficult to get to other landing pages easily.
- If you have Discussions as your landing page, a link will be added to the wiki's main page in the local navigation replacing the current Discussions link.
- If you have RecentChanges or WikiActivity as your landing page, a link to the main page will be added to the Explore drop-down instead.

Well, first of all, based on the name, I think that the meaning of "Landing Page" is the page on which you land when you request the URL https://<name of wiki>.fandom.com . (It's not called "Wordmark Page" nor "Main Page" nor "Cover Page" nor "Title Page".)

Secondly, what's the purpose of having a preference for Landing Page and using the default "Community Feeds" for new users? I think that the purpose is to encourage users to contribute to the discussions. And I think that changing the link of the wordmark does not help that purpose.

Yeah, but some people are'nt (so much) interested in the discussions which Fandom so much favoured. :-)

That's likely the case - the Forums have long been intended to be removed entirely (even though we're still not close to that), so our general policy is to develop new features without too much regard for whether they'll mesh with the Forums and/or the old notification system that is tied to them.

In this case, though, I agree that it shouldn't be impossible to find the Forums, even with all the updates we've been making. There aren't many communities left that have forums, but they tend to be very active ones, and the Forums will stay around for a bit longer. I'll let our engineers know that they'll need to make another correction here at least.

I wasn't relying to you. "Should we..." "We" have no say in it. Though I hope "they" do something, because they're 0 for 2 in new features this month.

Seems like an awkward situation. Please fix the main page linking to itself while FANDOM dev is at it. That's pretty sad too.
