Trying to create a new message wall thread has caused problems-every time I hit "Post", the "draft" version of the new thread disappears but the complete, published thread does not materialize on the user's wall. This has happened on a few wikis.

It's been known to happen from time to time, and from what I've seen it seems related to the length of time the message editor remains open before being posted. Usually when I post something that's 3-4 lines or more, I copy my text, refresh the page, paste it back in the editor and hit "Publish"
Hmm, well in any case it may be worth submitting a bug report to staff.
I'll look into that, thanks.
Yeah, this is sort of a security measure. You can't sit in the editor without publishing for too long because the website thinks you might be trying to session hijack or some other nefarious thing... so it prevents the submission from sticking. Technically it's some kind of token expiration, in all likelihood.
Then why would it fail after refreshing the page-and then on a different wiki altogether?
