April 17, 2018: Increasing image resolution limits

Here are the release notes for FANDOM's code release scheduled for April 17, 2018:

BUGFIX: Recently, a 12.5 megapixel resolution limit unexpectedly started being applied to JPG images (this limit was previously only active for PNG images). This resulted in a variety of very large images starting to show error messages. To fix this, we will be bumping up the resolution limit to 60 megapixels for both JPG and PNG files. Note: the 10 MB file size limit is unchanged.

Seems like image related problems are proliferating...

The above is a 619 × 506 pixels image I just uploaded.

When I try to see the original I get:

I've alerted the team to this issue, and we're looking into it. Thanks!

Update: the team have identified the issue and are working on resolving the problem.

Update 2: It's an issue with one of our internet providers in Europe. We're making some changes to our providers to mitigate the issue (allowing missing images and CSS to show again) while we sort out the root cause.

Update 3: The root cause has since been fixed.

Thanks. It's strange that a problem in Europe could cascade that far... I guess it wasn't related to the pixel size issue.
