My bad, I have just gotten into the habit of assuming these types of requests are for site-wide changes. In my experience, most of them are and I don't recall the OP specifying that it was for personal JS.

I tried to modify the code from BackToTopButton to scroll to bottom, but I couldn't get the actual scroll down part to work. I got the button to fade in when you start scrolling down from the top of the page, but the scroll wouldn't go to the bottom.
Then let it go to the top:
$('body,html').animate({scrollTop:10000000}, 'fast');
It will scroll to 10 mil pixels from top. I guess it is enough to reach the bottom of page :)
It works for me (Chrome, FF, Oasis skin). Right now i bound click event to menu button in order to check it. Try this in the javascript console: $('body,html').scrollTop($('#mw-content-text').height())
Is it working?
Also, more info (like link to your code or\and browser) would be helpful to reproduce and debug.
Update #7: i've edit it to Monobook support. #7.5: unnecessary code removed.
You did not set event handler: there is no button yet when u trying to set it.
Change to $('body').on('click', '#jumptobottom', function
- it will set delegate handler.
Working code here: Fngplg/global.js
Hmmm... yeah, I missed that. It works now... cool.
