Our community (on Pokémon) uses a large number of colors within articles, so we admins are always looking for a better way to efficiently handle the color data. Currently, we are storing it in templates, and are including the templates wherever we need the data. An example:
<div style="background: #{{Poison Color}}; border: 1px solid #{{Dark Poison Color}};" />
will be parsed to:
<div style="background: #A040A0; border: 1px solid #682A68;" />
Discovering Lua recently, I got the idea of setting a Lua table containing global color scheme, and of making templates invoke the table. Would doing so improve the performance, or would it change nothing?
