It bothers my that in the Wikia layout, it is difficult to find the talk page, the link to edit the currently accessed content, the link to see the page itself, and the link to the revision history in all such pages and when viewing a revision difference. The layouts are currently very inconsistent so I just have to scan the screen until I memorize where everything is under each page type. It's like Uncyclopedia's Do Not Click Any Links game (which I'd prefer to have restored by the way) but repetitive and without any of the humor. In fact, when editing a page, there is no quick one-click link to the page's history or discussion that I would otherwise be able to middle-click to peek at them.
The link from on Wikipedia and in older versions of Wikia, there are tabs with these links located at consistent portions of the top of the screen. When I edit Wikipedia, I am quite happy with the layout. I understand that Wikia has an optional Monobook layout, but using that would mean giving up on many of Wikia's features and messing up the style on some wikis, like the Fighunter Wiki. I also understand that you can put some of these links on the bottom bar, but I frequently have to disable the bottom bar because it can get in the way of editing.
I am posting here to see if there are ways to improve the layout in this regard, either through a custom site-wide skin or through staff involvement.
