Icon-shinkrThis article is about a vehicle in Shin Kamen Rider.

The Cyclone (サイクロン号, Saikuron-gō) is the original personal motorcycle of Kamen Rider. It is a modified autobike (改造オートバイク, Kaizō ōtobaiku) developed by Professor Hiroshi Midorikawa and his team, designed to be paired with the Batta Augment's system. Both Cyclones were sacrificed to destroy Chou Augment-01's throne and stop the Habitat Project.

The Anti-SHOCKER Alliance replaced the vehicle with the Shin-Cyclone upon Hayato Ichimonji’s request to continue his battle against SHOCKER.

  • Designer: Hiroshi Midorikawa
  • Base Model: Honda CB650R (Transformed) Honda CB250R (Civilian mode)

Features[]

  • Transformation: Normally when not used in combat, the Cyclone takes the form of a civilian motorcycle. Kamen Rider can initiate the Cyclone's transformation into its fully armored form by activating a red switch on the handlebar and then pushing the front section downward. After transformation, the acceleration force and maximum speed are greatly increased.
  • Auto Cruise: The Cyclone is capable of driving itself autonomously and even following its user independently of being ridden, which can be activated by flipping up a large red switch on the dash panel. This feature can even be used at high speed. When it receives a command from its owner, it will rush to the destination at the fastest speed.
  • Armor Plating and Reinforced Body: The Cyclone can withstand a large barrage of gunfire without a scratch and take a head on collision to its front wheel without its suspension breaking.
  • Rocket Boosters: Like its 1971 counterpart from the original series, the Cyclone's multiple mufflers double as rocket boosters for faster acceleration. The exhaust pipes also can shift their position up to 45 degrees sideways to allow its user to execute fast slides, drifting or quick turns or move downward for boost jumps or to hover briefly to allow Kamen Rider to reach high enough to kick or strike airborne enemies. The afterburn of the exhaust can also be used offensively to burn pursuing enemies.

Notes[]

Shin Cyclone Robo Head
  • Because of multiple strict Japanese government regulations for road legal vehicles, designing the Cyclone proved very difficult for the studio. Even in its finalized design presented at the press conference, the official Twitter noted that the bike was modified since then until it finally met legal standards.[1]
  • Unlike the Cyclones used by previous incarnations of the Double Riders, Rider No. 2's Cyclone starts off using the same mold as the first Rider's, though with its exhaust pipes colored gray instead of dark green.
  • In the Shin Japan Heroes Universe, the Cyclone acts as the head and control unit of the fusion robot form of Godzilla, EVA 01 and Ultraman, Shin Universe RoboIcon-crosswiki, a toy-exclusive character.
